Become a Gold Class Facilitator

Are you ready to inspire the next generation about Australia’s gold industry? Become a Gold Class Facilitator and share your knowledge and work experience in Australia’s gold industry by delivering one-hour sessions to upper Primary and Secondary school students.

The sessions are designed to educate students on the value of the sector to the community and economy, inquire and solve industry-related problems through a STEM activity and examine the diverse range of careers available in Australia’s gold industry.

Due to the level of interest received from schools across the country, we are seeking more gold employees who want to give back to their communities and share their career passions as a Gold Class Facilitator.

Training is delivered in a 90 minute session, in-person or online depending on your preference and availability.

Gold Class Facilitator – Careers

We are seeking employees who are keen to share their career journey and the diverse range of careers available in the gold industry with students. These 60-minute sessions will be delivered to students from Year 9 – 12 exploring career pathways and the many opportunities available in gold. These sessions can be delivered nation-wide, online or in-person.

Gold Class Facilitator – STEM

We are continuing to offer our popular STEM Gold Class Sessions and are always looking for enthusiastic and motivated employees who would like to share their knowledge and experience in the gold industry with primary and secondary students by facilitating interactive, curriculum-aligned STEM activities.

Our training session will provide you with presentation tips and tricks and demonstrates the STEM activities for the primary and secondary sessions. The primary activity engages students by using pulleys to move heavy loads, replicating machinery often used in gold mining. The secondary activity involves using geophysical maps to explore for gold deposits. The sessions are designed for employees in any role to deliver.

About the Program

The Gold Industry Group’s National Gold Education Program connects Australian students to gold industry workers through the delivery of dynamic gold demonstrations to excite them about a career in the nation’s gold sector, while educating them on gold’s value and relevance in their everyday lives and future.
