Gold Resources Kit
Gold Industry Group’s free, exclusive Gold Resources Kits provide your classroom with adaptable lesson plans, resources and large rock and gold samples donated by our members from gold mines here in Australia. The Gold Resources Kit provides teachers with unique learning tools to engage students in their learning about the impact of gold in Australia.
INSIDE GOLD RESOURCES KIT
Gold Resources Kits are usually updated every year and include a range of different specimens depending on what is available from our members.
Each 2023 kit includes a specimen of” Bucky quartz, pegmatite rock, dolerite rock, gneiss rock, porphyry rock, a Perth Mint medallion, a gold leaf vial, a geological hand lens, comprehensive Teacher Guide, Discover Gold in Your Life book and sticker. Plus some extra classroom display resources.
NOTE
Due to limited availability, our Gold Resources Kits are for registered ACARA Australian schools only and are limited to one per school. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide these resources to individuals or homeschools.
LIBRARY
We are happy to provide our Gold Resources Kit to Libraries for individuals and home educators to experience.

Gold Class Session - Primary
These 60-minute sessions are delivered to a single class of up to 32 students in upper primary (Years 4 – 6). Engage your students with real-life challenges run by industry professionals. During each interactive session, students will learn all about gold, its value, relevance, and diverse opportunities, through a hands-on STEM activity.

These free incursions are currently available in Western Australia; Perth Metro & Gold Fields region

Booking requests must be made per class, so please make a separate booking for each class. If you book several sessions for the same date, you may have the same facilitator or different facilitators depending on their availability and rosters.

Facilitators also provide students with a unique insight into their career journey

Gold Class Careers Presentation
These 60-minute presentations are delivered to students in secondary school (Years 9 – 12) exploring various career pathways and the many opportunities available in gold. Gold industry workers will share their career journey and the diverse range of jobs available in the sector through their experiences, worker interviews and profiles.
AVAILABILITY
These presentations can be delivered Australia-wide online, or in-person (Perth Metro & Gold Fields region).
NOTE
Booking requests must be made per class. Our Gold Class presentations can be delivered to larger numbers but acceptance of these is dependent on facilitator preferences.
